Dean of Faculty Affairs Holds Meetings to Monitor Workflow

Doctor Noorhan Salama, Dean of Faculty Affairs and Director of the Administrative Affairs Unit at the Islamic University of Minnesota, held three meetings within one month with the administrative affairs team to monitor the workflow in the colleges and ensure its integrity.
The latest meeting took place on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 9 PM Mecca time, where the agenda included discussions on the progress of the administrative affairs team and feedback on the colleges' archives on Drive. The meeting also addressed the activation of the Deputy Director position and the formulation of guidelines for the team, overseen by the unit director, to be disseminated throughout the week. Additionally, the idea of "Manager for a Day" was introduced to enhance leadership spirit within the team.
Dr. Nourhan facilitated an open discussion, allowing each administrative head to engage in a Q&A format, which helped address various administrative matters across the colleges. She praised their diligent efforts and close attention to every detail within their respective colleges.
Nourhan highlighted the achievements of the heads, including the preparation of special files to honor faculty members at the end of the second semester and the follow-up on the ideal faculty member award in collaboration with the Deanship of Academic Affairs. She also commended the updates made to faculty files in coordination with the dean's secretary, Ms. Maha Mohammed, and the review of these files in collaboration with the IT team.
At the end of the meeting, a date for the monthly report submission was set, and an agreement was reached to prepare for the final exams of the second semester in 2025.
Earlier, on Monday, January 6, 2025, the Administrative Affairs Unit held a meeting to discuss the workflow of the dean’s team and recent developments, as well as to follow up on the Ideal Faculty Member Award competition.
Attending the meetings were Ms. Maha Mohammed, Secretary of Faculty Affairs, Ms. Hanadi Abdullah, Head of Administrative Affairs for the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Dr. Badia Abdulqader, Head of Administrative Affairs for the College of Media, Ms. Anisa Al-Zekri, Head of Administrative Affairs for the College of Islamic Studies, Ms. Khadija Radman, Head of Administrative Affairs for the College of Developmental Studies, Ms. Banan Saif, Head of Administrative Affairs for the College of Economics and Business Administration, and Ms. Mariam Al-Maqrami, Head of Administrative Affairs for the College of Sharia and Law.
