Outstanding Academic and Research Achievements

The Islamic University of Minnesota has recently achieved a series of notable academic and research milestones, with its faculty members excelling in international conferences, peer-reviewed research, academic promotions, and new publications. These accomplishments highlight the university's excellence on both local and international stages.
Professor Abdulsalam Al-Wahati, Dean of the College of Media and Professor of Digital Journalism at the university, participated in the international scientific conference titled "Digital Content Production and Data Analysis," organized by Liwa College in collaboration with Abu Dhabi University on April 23–24, 2025. Professor Al-Wahati presented a research paper titled "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Media and Their Relationship to the Public's Right to Accurate Information," which explored the role of modern technologies in combating fake news. The conference saw broad participation from media experts and prominent academics specializing in digital communication from 27 countries, featuring 62 research papers across 16 scientific sessions.
In the field of peer-reviewed research, Al-Hikma Journal for Studies and Research, published by the University of Justice and Wisdom in the U.S., featured a study by Dr. Yousef Mohammad Falah Bani Younis, Dean of the College of Developmental Studies, titled "Evaluating the Foresight Readiness of Jordanian Institutions Through the Transportation Sector and the Economic Modernization Vision 2033." Dr. Yousef also participated in the 7th International Peer-Reviewed Conference on Theoretical and Applied Studies in February 2025, where he served as Chair of the Organizing Committee and member of the Scientific Committee.
Additionally, the African Journal of Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences published a study by Dr. Reham Naseer, Head of the Crisis and Strategic Risk Management Department, titled "The Role of Green Human Resources Management in Advancing Sustainable Development in Health Sector Institutions." Meanwhile, Ramah Journal for Research and Studies featured a study by Dr. Suhair Al-Helwani, Associate Professor in the Department of Islamic Studies in English, titled "Artificial Intelligence and Its Educational Prospects."
The university announced the promotion of Dr. Salah Ahmed Faraj, Head of the Department of Jurisprudence and Legal Foundations, from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor, based on the recommendation of the Promotions Committee and approval by the university's Academic Council.
In the realm of publications, the book "Conflict Resolution Education and Accepting Others" was published by Al-Badeel Publishing House, co-authored by Dr. Bayan Nayef Al-Arayedah and Dr. Ali Mohammad Dawahdeh, both Assistant Professors at the College of Educational Sciences. Additionally, Dr. Ibrahim Ali Al-Bahr, Assistant Professor at the university, released the "Encyclopedia of Educational Administrative Terms" through Wael Publishing House.
