Deanship of Faculty Affairs Holds Meeting

The Deanship of Faculty Affairs at the Islamic University of Minnesota (Main Center) held an expanded meeting with the Administrative Affairs Unit of the colleges, as part of the continuous follow-up on administrative workflow and quality improvement.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Nourhan Salama, Dean of Faculty Affairs, in the presence of the Director of the Administrative Affairs Unit for Colleges, Ms. Maha Mohammed, and a number of administrative affairs officials from various colleges.

The discussion focused on key themes aimed at developing administrative performance and raising operational efficiency. Emphasis was placed on following up on the work of the Deanship's teams and ensuring the accurate and continuous updating of college and department databases. Current work priorities were also identified, and a practical action plan was developed for implementation within clear timeframes.

The meeting addressed the most prominent challenges and difficulties facing work teams in some colleges, proposing practical solutions and suggestions to overcome them. Attendees stressed the importance of enhancing communication and coordination channels with other departments to achieve common goals that reflect performance quality.

The meeting resulted in several recommendations and outcomes, most notably:

  • Emphasizing periodic and accurate updating of databases.
  • Preparing a short-term action plan focusing on urgent priorities.
  • Adopting clear mechanisms to address administrative challenges.
  • Enhancing integration and coordination between various units and departments.
  • Submitting periodic follow-up reports to measure achievement rates.

For her part, Ms. Maha Mohammed, Director of the Administrative Affairs Unit for Colleges, confirmed that such periodic meetings represent a fundamental pillar for developing administrative work and ensuring quality sustainability, in line with the university's vision and strategic mission.

The meeting saw the participation of administrative affairs officials from the Colleges of: Media, Arts and Humanities, Computing and Information Technology, Sharia and Law, Economics and Business Administration, Islamic Studies, and Development Studies
