Quality and Development Unit Hosts Lecture on the Digital Teacher
The Quality and Development Unit, in coordination with the Deanship of Faculty Members at the Islamic University of Minnesota – Main Center, organized a specialized academic lecture titled “The Digital Teacher in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and How to Design Tests” on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, via Zoom, as part of the university’s efforts to keep pace with rapid digital transformations in the education sector.
The lecture was presented by a team of distinguished academics, Dr. Al-Majed Al-Shannaq and Dr. Nidaa Mahmoud, and was moderated by Dr. Fatima Jumaa Al-Wahsh. It addressed several key themes, including the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing teacher performance, the skills required for the modern digital teacher, and principles of designing fair and intelligent assessments, supported by practical application examples.
The session witnessed active engagement from faculty members and education professionals, providing participants with the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities posed by artificial intelligence in education, and ways to employ modern AI tools to improve teaching quality and outcomes.
