University Scholars Enrich Academic Library with Peer-Reviewed Research Publications

The research excellence of faculty members at the Islamic University of Minnesota has yielded a series of substantial scholarly contributions, demonstrated by the publication of numerous books and research papers in esteemed peer-reviewed journals and publishing houses at both regional and international levels over the past two years. This reflects the depth of the university's academic impact and the widespread dissemination of its intellectual output.

In the field of authorship, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Saeed Othmaneh from the Department of History and Archaeology published a book titled "The Teacher and Education in the Era of Digital Revolution, Artificial Intelligence, and Future Challenges" (2025) through Al-Badil Publishing and Distribution in Amman. Professor Hani Girgis Ayad from the College of Arts and Humanities co-authored the first part of the book "In the Sociology of Crime: A Sociological Reading through Theoretical Framing and Field Monitoring" (2026), published by Kunuz Al-Ma'rifa Publishing and Distribution in the UAE. Dr. Walaa Mohammed from the Department of History and Archaeology published the book "The Social Condition of Muslims in the Middle Ages" (2024) through Dar Nur Hauran for Studies, Publishing, and Heritage in Damascus. Furthermore, Assistant Professor Dr. Zakaria Salem Sulaiman Ibrahim from the Department of Islamic Studies in English published two books: "The Egyptian Baccalaureate System: An Educational Approach and Future Visions" and "Educational Planning in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Smart Tools and Applications" (2026), published by Dar Al-Fikr Al-Jame'i in Alexandria. Dr. Norhan Ibrahim Abdulmoneim Salama, Dean of Faculty Affairs, also published the book "Anew: On Scholarly Life in Ifriqiya and Andalusia during the 3rd and 4th Hijri / 9th and 10th CE Centuries" (2026) through Dar Al-Ma'rifah Al-Jami'iyyah in Alexandria.

In the realm of publishing in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Eid Abdulhalim Maslat Harahesh from the Department of Islamic Studies in Arabic distinguished himself by publishing a research paper titled "OF ESOTERIC DOCTRINES – THE DRUZE AS A MODEL" in the international journal "TPM" published by "Cises srl" (2025), and another research paper titled "A Contemporary Reassessment of Punishment in Islamic Sharia and Secular Law: A Comparative Study of Justice and Punitive Philosophy" in the "Metro Islamic Law Review" journal published by the Metro Islamic University in Indonesia (2026). Dr. Ibrahim Taj Al-Din Al-Adabi Abdulkarim from the Law Department also published research titled "An Introduction to the Fundamentalist Method in Interpretation" in the "Journal of Human Research and Studies" published by King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah (2024). Dr. Marah Rafi' Al-Barghash from the Department of History and Archaeology marked a notable research presence by publishing a study titled "The Khaldunian Economy..." in the "Sarr min Rayya Journal for Human Studies" published by Samarra University (2024), and another study titled "The Geopolitical Repercussions of French Maritime Transport in the Ottoman Empire..." in the "Journal of Sustainable Studies" published by the Scientific Society for Sustainable Educational Studies in Iraq (2025).

These diverse and numerous publications represent the fruits of systematic and serious research efforts. They reflect the commitment of the University of Minnesota Islamic University to advancing human knowledge and contributing to global scientific dialogue through research spanning diverse fields including history, education, law, Islamic studies, and social sciences.
