Information Technology Deanship: Notable Achievements and New Updates
The Information Technology Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota, main center, has issued a detailed report on its achievements during June 2024, including an infographic highlighting the progress made in academic and administrative operations.
According to the report, the deanship added 31 new pages to the website over 960 working hours, along with five software modifications and 716 updates, publishing 186 news items and events. In June, 413 lectures were added across all levels, with 1,174 undergraduate students, 7,044 undergraduate courses, 380 graduate students, and 1,819 graduate courses.
Updates were distributed among the eight colleges, with the Arts and Humanities Department recording the highest number of updates at 168, while the Sharia and Law College had the lowest at 37, bringing the total number of updates and additions to 645. Improvements included the addition of a feature to filter goals and information by college and department, facilitating easier access to required information. Technical issues were also addressed to ensure text is displayed consistently across all website pages.
Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami, the university's vice president and head of the main campus, announced an administrative restructuring of the deanship. Ms. Marwa Qasem Abdulwasea was appointed as the dean, with Engineer Ali Mustafa as her deputy, and Engineer Al-Harith Mohammed Noaman as the head of technical support for undergraduate studies. The remaining team members will retain their positions, reflecting the deanship's success in achieving tangible accomplishments that received praise from university administration.
With this appointment, the Information Technology Deanship aims to enhance work efficiency and improve services provided to students and faculty members.
