Technology Deanship Achieves Qualitative Milestone in Electronic Publishing During 2025

Minnesota - Professor Marwa Qasim Abdulwasea, Director of the Technology Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota (Main Center), announced that the deanship achieved a notable milestone in the field of electronic publishing and media documentation during the past year 2025.

  In a press statement, Qasim clarified that this achievement was represented by uploading 1,786 media items, including news and events, onto the university’s website, as part of a strategy to enhance its digital presence and expand its media reach locally and internationally. These materials were distributed equally between Arabic and English languages, with 893 items for each language.

She explained that the website’s main homepage published 252 events, evenly distributed between the two languages (126 per language), in addition to 116 news items (58 in Arabic, 58 in English), reflecting the regularity and accuracy of media work in covering the university’s various activities.

The internal pages for colleges, deanships, units, and centers also saw significant activity, with 826 news items published (413 Arabic, 413 English) and 573 events (287 Arabic, 287 English). She affirmed that these numbers reflect the scale of efforts and institutional integration among all relevant parties.

Concluding her statement, Professor Marwa Qasim Abdulwasea, on behalf of the Technology Deanship team, extended thanks and appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the media work. Special recognition was given to the efforts of Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Shamsan (Website News Editor and Editor-in-Chief of the Sada Al-Jamiah newspaper), Mr. Abdullah Noman (Translation Department at the Media Center), Engineers Hamoud Sultan (Design Department), Mohammed Al-Basha and Osama Shamsan (Publishing Department), and to every member of the deanship's team who participated in this work.
