Official Meeting Held for Dr. Abdulrazzaq Al-Bakri
An official meeting was held for Dr. Abdulrazzaq Al-Bakri, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies, with the faculty members of the college. The meeting took place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 9:00 PM, Mecca Time.
At the beginning of the meeting, the dean welcomed the faculty members and stated the main objective of the meeting, which was to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the previous semester and prepare for the upcoming semester, while also listening to the suggestions of the faculty members.
The dean also welcomed the new department deputies and expressed his gratitude to the professors for their efforts during the first semester. He expressed his satisfaction with the performance regarding class schedules, examinations, grading, and course descriptions in some departments.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Bakri emphasized that any shortcomings from the faculty members negatively impact the department, the college, and consequently the university as a whole. He encouraged the professors to participate more actively in departmental groups, follow the announcements posted in these groups, and engage effectively with these announcements.
The dean explained that overlooking the published announcements in the groups may lead to missing important information, resulting in confusion or delays in fulfilling the requirements.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Bakri addressed the absence of some professors from department heads' meetings and urged them to increase their interaction and cooperation. He emphasized the importance of the professor's collaboration and engagement with students regarding their inquiries in the subject matter. He stressed the need for effective time management during lectures, focusing on the designated academic material, and utilizing WhatsApp groups for discussing issues and submitting research papers. He also emphasized the importance of respecting the scheduled lecture times and compensating for missed lectures in a timely manner. The meeting concluded with thanks and appreciation to all attendees.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting lasted for forty-five minutes and was attended by thirty-six faculty members.
