Master's Student Um Hashim Omar Defends Her Thesis on Quranic Interpretation


 

  

Researcher Um Hashim Omar Abdullah Al-Badri has earned a Master's degree in Quranic Sciences from the Islamic University of Minnesota after defending her thesis titled "Debate and Dialogue in Surah Al-A'raf, through the Interpretations of Al-Manar and Zahrat Al-Tafseer - A Comparative Study".

The thesis was supervised by Dr. Amna Hamid Musa, a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota. The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the university held a public session to discuss the thesis on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00 PM Makkah time.

The defense committee consisted of Dr. Amna Hamid Musa as the supervisor, Prof. Dr. Abdulraziq Al-Bakri as the chairperson, Dr. Khaled Al-Na'ana'a as the internal examiner, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Subhi Siddiq from Al-Azhar University as the external examiner.
