Islamic Studies College Organizes Major Competition
The College of Islamic Studies has announced the organization of the Major Competition in Prophetic Traditions for all those interested in Hadith and its sciences. The competition will take place from August 11, 2024, corresponding to Safar 7, 1446 AH, to October 10, 2024, corresponding to Rabi' al-Thani 7, 1446 AH.
The announcement detailed the competition categories, organized into three levels. The first level focuses on "The Science of Sahih al-Bukhari" for undergraduate students, the second level on "The Science of Sahih Muslim" for master's students, and the third level on "The Forty Hadith" for doctoral students.
The competition conditions include memorizing a brief biography of al-Bukhari, al-Muslim, and al-Nawawi—may Allah have mercy on them—along with identifying the narrators of the Hadith, memorizing vocabulary and phrases, and correct reading.
Important dates for the competition were outlined, starting with the first round of eliminations on August 16, 2024, followed by the second round on August 30, 2024, the third round on September 20, 2024, and concluding with the final round on October 4, 2024. The winners will be celebrated and announced on October 10, 2024.
The first-level winner will receive a full scholarship to study at the university, along with a university shield and certificates accredited by the university.
