College of Islamic Studies Holds Meeting

The Council of the College of Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota held a meeting chaired by Dr. Abdulrazeq Al-Bakri, the Dean of the College, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:00 PM Mecca time.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Bakri noted that the mid-term exams for the second semester were conducted with full transparency and regularity, emphasizing that no compensatory lectures had been recorded since the start of the second semester.

The meeting addressed several administrative issues concerning the college, where the dean discussed with council members the ongoing grading process and expressed gratitude to department heads for their dedicated efforts. He urged them to monitor their departments with integrity and transparency and requested that they submit their needs for faculty members by January 15.

In a related context, Dr. Al-Bakri called on department heads to coordinate with Dr. Manal Mustafa, the Director of the Dawah Center, to organize seminars and lectures at the center. The issuance of the new edition of the college's magazine was also discussed, with members encouraged to publish their research in it.

The dean concluded the meeting by thanking Dr. Fatima Jumaa Al-Wahsh, Head of the Department of Islamic Studies, for her efforts and expressed appreciation for the attendance of all members.

The meeting was attended by several faculty members, including: Prof. Dr. Fatima Jumaa Al-Wahsh, Dr. Ghada Al-Bahhansi, Dr. Manal Mustafa, Dr. Taha Al-Juhari, Prof. Dr. Musab Nabil, Prof. Dr. Imad Al-Din Al-Ajili, and Ms. Anisa Ahmed Othman Al-Zakri, the Administrative Affairs Officer and the meeting's minutes editor.
