Islamic University of Minnesota - Dr. Abdulrazeq Al-Bakri, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies, chaired the college council's regular meeting on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 5:30 PM Mecca time.

The dean opened the meeting with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of serious interaction among faculty members within the college's official groups. He noted the necessity of prompt responses to messages regarding schedule and course updates, affirming that such correspondence serves as an official reference for the administration.

The dean then addressed the progress of university textbook preparation, indicating that some departments have made notable advances, while others have lagged despite the presence of a sufficient number of faculty members. The meeting also discussed challenges related to supervising master's and doctoral theses, with the dean stressing the importance of having an up-to-date database to monitor student performance. He pointed out complaints from some students regarding delays in academic responses, emphasizing that professional handling and quick replies enhance trust in the department.

The meeting resulted in several recommendations, including expediting the preparation of reports on faculty engagement, updating academic supervision lists, and forming specialized writing committees.
