Department of Islamic Da'wah and Culture Discusses Preparations for Upcoming Semester
The Department of Islamic Da‘wah and Culture at the Islamic University of Minnesota – Main Center, held a meeting on Wednesday evening, September 17, under the chairmanship of Dr. Taha Hussein Al-Jawhari, with the participation of the department’s faculty members, to discuss several academic and organizational matters in preparation for the upcoming semester.
The meeting addressed key topics including preparations for upcoming examinations, scheduling of classes, and ensuring the smooth progress of the teaching process with full academic discipline. The attendees also stressed the importance of completing and delivering university textbooks on time, while emphasizing commitment to lectures and compensating for any missed sessions in coordination with the department.
The participants further discussed a proposal to organize an international academic conference under the department’s supervision, to be submitted to the College Deanship and the University Administration for review and necessary action. It was agreed that careful consideration should be given to selecting the conference’s theme, topics, and committees to ensure a rigorous and scholarly outcome worthy of the department and the university.
The meeting concluded at 9:00 p.m., with Dr. Taha Hussein Al-Jawhari expressing his gratitude and appreciation for the faculty’s dedication and constructive engagement, stressing the importance of maintaining this spirit of cooperation and teamwork in serving the mission of the department and the college.
