Center for Languages Successfully Concludes Spanish Language "Level Four" Course

The Center for Languages and Translation, affiliated with the College of Arts and Humanities at the Islamic University in Minnesota, USA, has successfully concluded the Spanish language "Level Four" course, which began on Sunday, December 15, 2024. The course lectures were delivered by Dr. Ali El-Shboul, Head of the Latin American Studies Unit at the Center for Academic Studies, Head of the Spanish Language Department at the Center for Languages and Translation, Deputy Head of the Arabic Language Department in the College of Arts, and the university’s Deputy Director of External Relations and International Cooperation, as well as its accredited ambassador to Jordan.

The course consisted of 12 lectures, delivered at a rate of two sessions per week on Sundays and Wednesdays. The lessons were interactive and carefully designed, accompanied by practical exercises to enhance speaking and writing skills, as well as a deeper understanding of the Spanish language and culture.

In a statement to the university’s news administration, Dr. Ali El-Shboul expressed his great satisfaction with the course’s progress, emphasizing its significant success. He noted that the participants included a distinguished group of doctors, PhD students, and students soon to join PhD programs, highlighting the case of an Algerian student who applied to join a PhD program in Spanish. Dr. El-Shboul stressed the need for students to transition to "Level Five" without delay to ensure the continuity of their academic progress.

On a related note, Dr. El-Shboul announced an extension of the registration period for the "Level One" Spanish language course organized by the Latin American Studies Unit. This course aims to explore the world of the Spanish language, enhance cognitive progress in this field, and prepare specialized researchers in Latin American studies. The course includes interactive lessons and practical exercises to improve language skills, with a focus on a deep understanding of Spanish culture.
