Media Center Launches "Weekly News Bulletin"
Minnesota, August 23, 2024
In a groundbreaking media initiative, the Media Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center has launched "Weekly News Bulletin." The first episode of the bulletin was broadcasted on the university's official Facebook page and other social media platforms at 8:00 PM Mecca time on Friday, August 23, 2024.
This initiative comes after a successful previous experience of the university and in response to its continuous expansion in various aspects. It also aims to diversify the media channels used by the Media Center to deliver the university's message to the widest possible audience in an era where media is not only one of the pillars of success for modern institutions, but has become the fourth authority competing with traditional authorities that control the destinies of people.
Commenting on the bulletin video, the university's vice president and head of the main campus, Dr. Omar Al-Maqrami (the idea's originator and supervisor), praised the bulletin team and said that priority will be given to important and general events at the university. The bulletin will later cover interviews with university staff, discussing the achievements and efforts covered by all departments in the university.
The distinguished media professional, Ms. Eman Abdulaziz, has been chosen to present the weekly bulletin. She will appear on the university's channels at the same time every Friday evening to read the most important university news of the week. This comes after the editorial, preparation, and follow-up team, consisting of Mr. Ahmed Shamsan Al-Maqrami, Dr. Abdo Nasr Al-Silani, and Engineer Abdullah Al-Mansoub, have completed the news material. Ms. Eman will then read it from a studio specially created for this purpose with the care of the talented sound and image engineer, director Mohammed Al-Hajrasi.
