Ph.D. in International Law for Researcher Amani Samanj

The College of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota (IUM), Main Campus, held a public defense session on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the College of Sharia and Law, Department of Law. The session discussed the doctoral thesis titled "The Role of International Humanitarian Law in Combating Violence Against Women and Children in the Era of Social Media." The researcher, Amani Aziz Saleh Samanj, successfully obtained her Ph.D. degree through this thesis.

The scientific examination committee was composed of Dr. Mohamed Shuaib Abdel Maqsoud, Associate Professor and Head of the Law Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as the supervisor and chairman. Another faculty member, Dr. Emad Hamdi El-Bahiry, a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, served as an internal examiner. Additionally, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hafeez Jad, an adjunct faculty member at the Faculty of Law, Helwan University, and the Legal Advisor to the President of the National Authority for Railways in Egypt, participated as an external examiner.
