Mohammed Khalil Earns Master Degree in Quranic Sciences
Student Mohammed Abdullah Khalil has earned a master's degree in Quranic Sciences after the public defense session of his thesis titled "Fitnah (Trials) and Diseases of the Heart and Their Impact on Society: An Analytical Study of Surah Al-Kahf (Verses 1-53)."
The session was organized under the supervision of the Graduate Studies Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota and took place on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 5 PM Mecca time, in the College of Islamic Studies, Department of the Holy Quran and Its Sciences.
The discussion committee consisted of Dr. Jalila Al-Tayeb Babakr Younis, a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, serving as the supervisor and rapporteur; Prof. Dr. Abdulrazzaq Al-Bakri, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies, serving as an internal examiner; and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Amir Mohammed Jaheen, a professor of Tafsir (exegesis) and Quranic Sciences and former Dean of the Al-Azhar Girls College in Aswan, serving as an external examiner.
