Abdullah Yehuda Earns PhD in Jurisprudence

Researcher Abdullah Goni Yehuda has been awarded a PhD in Jurisprudence and Its Principles following a public defense held by the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the main campus of the Islamic University of Minnesota. The defense took place on Wednesday, 27 Rabi' Al-Thani 1446 AH, corresponding to October 30, 2024, at 8 PM Mecca time, where he presented his thesis titled "The Punishment for Adultery in Islamic Law and Nigerian Criminal Law: A Comparative Study."

The defense committee was composed of Professor Waleed Idris Al-Menesee, President of the Islamic University of Minnesota, who served as the supervisor and chair. Also on the committee were Professor Waleed Khalid Basyouni, a faculty member at the university, who acted as the internal examiner, and Dr. Ahmed Mo'bad Eissa, a faculty member at the university, who served as the external examiner.
