Scientific Committee Approves Research Plan on Impact of Digital Media

A scientific committee has approved a research plan presented by Fatima Abdul Rahman Ahmed Al-Maraghi, focusing on the study "The Impact of Digital Media on Family Relationships and the Increase in Divorce Rates in Qatar." This step is part of her pursuit of a PhD from the Digital Media Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota.

The decision to approve the plan followed a seminar session held by the committee to discuss it, supervised by the Graduate Studies Deanship of the university, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 7 PM Mecca time. The session was chaired by Dr. Abdelsalam Saeed Al-Wahati, Dean of the College of Media, with participation from Professor Hanan Sobhi Obaid, Head of the Graduate Studies Department, Dr. Raed Mohammed Al-Mousli, the academic advisor to the student, and Dr. Hajar Al-Najjar.
