Approval of Two Research Plans for PhD in Department of Jurisprudence

Minnesota, April 22, 2025 – Two research plans for earning a PhD were approved in the Department of Jurisprudence and Its Principles at the Islamic University of Minnesota after being discussed by two scientific committees chaired by Prof. Dr. Salah Ahmed Farraj, the head of the department, under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies at the College of Sharia and Law.
The first plan was prepared by Saudi researcher Mohammed Hassan Abdu Othman, aiming to conduct a comparative jurisprudential study on "What Al-Awza'i Stated Uniquely Compared to the Four Jurisprudential Schools in the Matter of Purification and Prayer." This plan was discussed in a seminar session chaired by Prof. Dr. Salah Ahmed Farraj, with members including Dr. Jihan Taher, Dr. Ali Ghaybah, and Dr. Bashir Mohammed.
The second plan was prepared by Ethiopian researcher Ahmed Aref Mohammed Khader, focusing on the study of "Issues Where There Is No Distinction According to Al-Nawawi in His Book Rawdat al-Talibin." This plan was approved after being discussed in a seminar session chaired by Prof. Dr. Salah Ahmed Farraj, with members including Prof. Dr. Muzahem Tariq Al-Mustafa, Dr. Mustafa Ahmed, and Dr. Hamza Qutaish Al-Azaideh.
It is noteworthy that both plans were discussed and approved sequentially on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, starting at 9:30 PM Mecca time.
