Disaster Management Committee Approves PhD Plan of Amal Abdulrahman

A committee from the Department of Disaster and Strategic Risk Management, chaired by Dr. Youssef Mohammed Bani Younes, Dean of the College of Development Studies, has approved the PhD plan submitted by researcher Amal Abdulrahman Ali Saleh. The study aims to examine the "Homs and Aleppo" model in crisis management within the Syrian health sector during the civil war, covering the period from 2011 to 2020.

This approval came after a seminar session held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 9:30 PM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Graduate Studies Deanship at the Islamic University of Minnesota, main campus.

The seminar committee, in addition to its chair, included Dr. Riham Arshid Nusayr, Head of the Department of Disaster and Strategic Risk Management, Dr. Ilham Moatasem Al-Bashir, Academic Advisor, Dr. Ahmed Hussein Al-Jadawi, and Dr. Hanaa Ibrahim Abdullah.
