Deanship of Graduate Studies Approves Doctoral Research Plan on Legal Protection for Working Women

MINNESOTA, USA – August 22, 2025

The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota (IUM) – Main Center has officially approved the research proposal submitted by Saudi researcher Yahya Madwah Mufreh Al-Qahtani for his doctoral degree in law.

The approval was granted during a seminar held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 10:00 PM Mecca time. During the session, the researcher presented his plan for an inductive and comparative study titled, "The Legal Protection of Working Women," with a special focus on the Saudi legal system as a case study.

The seminar committee was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Mohammed Shoaib Abdulmaqsoud, Head of the Law Department, and included Dr. Alaa Ahmed Sobh and Dr. Karam Saeed as members. This step is part of Al-Qahtani's pursuit of a Ph.D. from the Department of Law at the College of Sharia and Law.
