Scientific Committee Approves Research Plan on Islamic Finance

A scientific committee from the Department of Islamic Economics and Banking, chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Hiyam Al-Zoubi, head of the department, has approved a research plan prepared by the Iraqi researcher Mohammed Boulfli. The study aims to explore the "Necessity and Challenges" related to the "Model of the Republic of Iraq" in "Islamic Finance and its Impact on Economic Development," as part of his requirement for a PhD in Islamic finance.
This decision came after a seminar session held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 9 PM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Graduate Studies Dean at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center - College of Economics and Business.
The seminar committee consisted of Professor Dr. Ahmad Mash'al, Dr. Aziza Badr, in addition to the committee chair.
