Approval of Research Plan to Study Qur'anic Foundations for Confronting Trials

On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the College of Islamic Studies held a seminar session chaired by Dr. Abdulrazeq Al-Bakri, the dean of the college. The research plan prepared by researcher Abdulghani Derong Arabin from the Department of the Qur'an and its Sciences was approved. The study aims to analyze the Qur'anic foundations for confronting trials in the Medinan Surahs in an objective manner.
This event was supervised by the Graduate Studies Office at the Islamic University of Minnesota, and the session started at 5:30 PM Mecca time.
The seminar committee, in addition to its chair, included Dr. Hind Al-Ashmawi, Dr. Youssef Al-Ma'ani, Dr. Najima Al-Ridwani, Dr. Hazem Al-Nahas, and Dr. Abdulrahman Hayjan, reflecting a diversity of academic expertise within the committee.
This study is considered an important step in enhancing Qur'anic understanding and providing new insights to address contemporary challenges.
