IUM Hosts Doctoral Defense on AI in Algerian Education
The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Islamic University of Minnesota (IUM) hosted a notable scientific discussion on the evening of Wednesday, September 17, 2025, for a doctoral dissertation addressing the future of artificial intelligence in Algeria's public secondary schools.
The dissertation, titled "A Proposed Educational Administrative Framework for Employing Artificial Intelligence in Algerian Public Secondary Schools," was submitted by researcher Belhachemi M'hamed as a requirement for his Ph.D. in the Department of Educational Administration at the College of Educational Sciences.
The examination committee was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Heba Tawfiq Abu Ayada (Supervisor and Rapporteur) and included Professor Dr. Abdullah Abdulnabi (Internal Examiner) and Dr. Aya Dhaifallah Al-Momani (External Examiner).
During the session, which was held amidst a significant academic presence, the researcher presented his thesis, which offers a strategic vision for modernizing educational administration through advanced technologies. The committee praised the research effort and provided valuable feedback to enrich and develop the study, emphasizing the importance of such research in keeping pace with technological transformations in the education sector.
