Scientific Committee Approves Comparative Jurisprudential Study Plan
Following a seminar session chaired by Dr. Salah Faraj, head of the Jurisprudence Department, the committee decided to approve the research plan presented by researcher Faraj Manea Al-Razqi. He will conduct a comparative jurisprudential study of the legal opinions of Sheikh Mohammed ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen regarding the rituals of Hajj and Umrah and the related issues, based on his book "Al-Sharh Al-Mumt'i." This is part of his efforts to obtain a Doctorate in Comparative Jurisprudence.
The seminar session took place on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 9:00 PM Mecca time, under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, main center - College of Sharia and Law. The committee, in addition to its chair, included Dr. Murad Ouda, Dr. Maher Alawan, and Dr. Ali Abdullah as members.
