Deanship of Graduate Studies Discusses Research Plan on Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Disaster Management
Islamic University of Minnesota - The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, represented by the College of Developmental Studies and the Department of Disaster Management and Strategic Risks, held a scientific seminar on the evening of Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
The session was dedicated to discussing the research plan submitted by the researcher Ahmed Ali Jaddal Abu Muhameed as part of the requirements for his doctoral degree. The research is titled: "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence Applications in Enhancing Crisis and Disaster Management – An Applied Study on the Palestinian Civil Defense."
The discussion session was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Yousef Mohammed Bani Younis, Dean of the College of Developmental Studies, with Dr. Reham Arsheed Nusair and Dr. Mohammed Shaddad participating as committee members.
The session, held at 9:00 PM Makkah time, featured a fruitful scientific discussion that addressed the importance of employing artificial intelligence technologies in risk management and mitigating the consequences of disasters, while also reviewing the dimensions of the applied study within the context of the Palestinian Civil Defense.
At the end of the session, the discussion committee affirmed the scientific value of the topic and recommended that the researcher continue his efforts to enhance the academic and practical contributions in this vital field.
