Kuwait, February, 2024, preparations were made for a two-month-long special celebration. The event took place at a specific location in Kuwait and was attended by numerous individuals. The celebration featured a diverse range of segments, totaling 23 in number. It commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran at 8:00 PM Kuwait time and concluded with a dinner banquet at 9:10 PM.

This special celebration was organized to honor Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Ajmi, a renowned scholar and researcher. It was a surprise for him, as all arrangements and details were kept secret, including the segment where he would be conferred an honorary doctorate from the Islamic University of Minnesota. Despite the involvement of his son in the preparations, the surprise remained undisclosed.

The celebration also included a documentary highlighting various aspects of the Islamic University in Minnesota. Additionally, a speech was delivered by the university's president, Professor Walid bin Idris Al-Menisi, who praised Sheikh Al-Ajmi and expressed that his acceptance of the honorary doctorate was a great honor for the university. The president emphasized Sheikh Al-Ajmi's esteemed status and stated that this recognition reflected the appreciation of his students in the United States and the West. The president's speech marked the beginning of the segment where the honorary doctorate was conferred.

It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Ajmi is a Kuwaiti scholar, researcher, hadith expert, and historian. He specializes in the authentication of hadiths, biographies, and historical accounts, with a particular focus on the biographies of scholars from the Levant region. Sheikh Al-Ajmi is widely recognized as one of the prominent scholars in his field, having authored and verified numerous books. He was raised in Kuwait and served in the Ministry of Awqaf (Religious Endowments), undertaking scholarly journeys throughout the Islamic world, where he engaged with scholars, hadith experts, narrators, researchers, and scholars from various regions.
