Deanship of Graduate Studies Holds Academic Seminar to Discuss Doctoral Research Proposal
As part of its academic and research activities, the Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, represented by the College of Islamic Studies and the Department of Qur’an and Its Sciences, organized an academic seminar to discuss the research proposal submitted by Abdulkhaleq Annad Al-Harami, as part of the requirements for his doctoral studies.
The seminar focused on the proposal titled “Atheism in the Qur’an: Concepts, Manifestations, and Approaches – An Objective Analytical Study,” in which the researcher presented the general framework of the study, its main axes, and its methodology, highlighting the objectives of examining atheism in light of the Qur’anic text, analyzing its manifestations, and exploring methods of addressing it.
The session was chaired by Dr. Islam Al-Sayed Abdulhamid, Head of the Department of Qur’an and Its Sciences, and included committee members Dr. Ahmed Abdulsattar (academic supervisor), Dr. Abubakr Al-Sayed, Dr. Abdulrahman Shoukry, Dr. Mohammed Shaaban, and Dr. Hadeel Mohamed. The committee provided scholarly feedback and methodological guidance aimed at refining the proposal and enhancing its research quality.
The seminar took place on Monday, December 29, 2025, via Zoom, in an academic atmosphere marked by rigorous discussion and constructive interaction.
