Deanship of Graduate Studies Discusses Doctoral Research Proposal
The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, represented by the College of Sharia and Law (Department of Law), held a scientific seminar session to discuss the doctoral research proposal submitted by researcher Abdullah Saleh Al-Sahli, as part of the requirements for obtaining a PhD degree.
The research proposal, entitled “Saudi Women’s Rights in Light of Legal Reforms between Sharia and Positive Law,” addressed the general framework of the study, its academic significance, objectives, and methodology, in addition to highlighting the most prominent legal and Sharia-related issues examined by the research.
The discussion committee was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Mohammed Shuaib Abdulmaqsoud, Head of the Department of Law, with the membership of Dr. Karam Saeed Al-Dawakhli and Dr. Waleed Al-Touni.
The session was held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. Makkah time, via the Zoom video conferencing platform, and witnessed active academic engagement and constructive discussions that contributed to guiding the researcher and further developing the research proposal.
