The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, in collaboration with the Faculty of Islamic Studies and the Department of Islamic Call and Culture, held an academic seminar on Sunday evening via video conferencing to discuss a research proposal examining the advocacy foundations in Surah Fussilat and their implications for contemporary Islamic discourse.

Doctoral researcher Bashir Juwayzi Saleh Juwayzi presented his proposal titled "Advocacy Methodology in Surah Fussilat and Its Impact on Contemporary Islamic Discourse: An Analytical Objective Educational Study," which aims to derive advocacy principles from the Surah and analyze their educational and methodological impact on developing contemporary Islamic discourse, enhancing its effectiveness while considering modern variables.

The discussion panel was chaired by Dr. Taha Al-Johari, Head of the Department of Islamic Call and Culture, and included Dr. Afaf Haddad, who provided scholarly observations and methodological guidance that enriched the research and developed its academic direction.
