Graduate Studies Deanship Holds Scientific Seminar to Discuss PhD Research Proposal
The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, represented by the College of Computing and Information Systems / Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, held a scientific seminar on Monday evening, March 2, 2026, via the Zoom platform. The seminar was dedicated to discussing a PhD research proposal, with the participation of a specialized academic committee and a number of scholars and interested attendees.
During the session, the research proposal titled “The Effectiveness of Using Interactive Tools Supported by Machine Learning Algorithms in Improving Oral Reading Skills of High School Students in the State of Kuwait”, presented by researcher Muhammad Ali Zain Al-Din, was discussed. The study focused on leveraging artificial intelligence technologies and modern interactive tools to develop oral reading skills, contributing to enhancing the language proficiency of high school students.
The discussion committee was chaired by Dr. Bushra Sharif, Head of the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and included Dr. Ashraf Radwan, Dr. Adel Adam, and Dr. Salman Zakaria as members. The committee provided valuable scientific and methodological feedback that helped enhance the quality of the research proposal and develop its practical applications.
The seminar was held at 11:00 PM Mecca time via the Zoom platform, reflecting the Deanery’s efforts to support scientific research, keep pace with the latest trends in artificial intelligence and its educational applications, and improve the quality of graduate outcomes while developing researchers’ skills.
