Scientific Seminar to Discuss Arbitration in Administrative Contract

The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota held a scientific seminar session to discuss the research proposal submitted by researcher Mohammed Ahmed Al-Shahir, entitled "Arbitration in the Administrative Contract and Its Impact on the Principle of Legitimacy," as part of the requirements for obtaining a PhD degree in the Department of Law at the Faculty of Sharia and Law.

The session was held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, via the Zoom video conferencing platform, chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammed Shoaib Abdulmaqsoud, Head of the Law Department, and including committee members Associate Professor Dr. Moath Ali and Dr. Mohammed Ghulam.

The session witnessed an in-depth academic discussion addressing the issues related to arbitration in administrative contracts and the extent of its impact on the principle of legitimacy, along with a review of the theoretical and applied frameworks of the research proposal and highlighting its importance in enriching contemporary legal studies.

The discussion committee also contributed by providing a set of scientific and methodological observations and directives, aimed at enhancing the quality of the research and developing its academic trajectory, in line with the standards of sound scientific research in the field of legal studies.

This session comes within the context of the Deanship's commitment to supporting graduate students and encouraging specialized research that addresses current legal issues and contributes to the development of legal thought according to an established scientific methodology.
