Scientific Committee Approves Two Research Plans
A scientific committee, headed by Dr. Salah Faraj, the head of the Department of Jurisprudence and its Principles at the College of Shari'a and Law, has approved two doctoral research proposals in the field of Islamic jurisprudence.
The first plan, prepared by researcher Mahd Abdulwali Othman, is titled "Legal Reasoning through Differences and its Impact on Contemporary Transactions – A Foundational Jurisprudential Study." The second plan, prepared by researcher Ibrahim Sambari, is titled "Legal Reasoning through Presumption among the Maliki Scholars in the Chapters of Worship - A Comparative Jurisprudential Study."
The approval of the two proposals came after a seminar session held by the Graduate Studies Department at the Islamic University in Minnesota, the main center for the College of Shari'a and Law - Department of Jurisprudence and its Principles. The session took place on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 9:00 PM Mecca Time.
The scientific committee, in addition to the chairperson, consists of Dr. Ammar Abdullah, Dr. Mustafa Ahmed Mohammed, Dr. Mubarak Saud Asfur, and Dr. Faisal Jabir Al-Shammari.
