Ishaq Al-Ballushi Earns Ph.D. in Quranic Studies

 

Researcher Ishaq Khair Mohammed Al-Ballushi has achieved a Ph.D. degree in Quranic Studies and Sciences after successfully defending his dissertation titled "Jibril (Gabriel) in Light of the Quran and Sunnah: An Objective Analytical Study."

The dissertation defense took place in a session organized by the Graduate Studies Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota, specifically at the main College of Islamic Studies - Quranic Studies and Sciences Department, on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 11:00 PM Mecca Time.

The examination committee consisted of Professor Dr. Abdulrazzaq Al-Bakri, Dean of the College of Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, serving as the committee chair. Dr. Khaled Al-Naanea, a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, acted as the supervisor, while Dr. Babaker Mahmoud Mohammed, a faculty member at the Islamic

University of Minnesota, served as the internal examiner. Dr. Amna Hamed Musa, a professor of Tafsir (Quranic exegesis) and Quranic Sciences at King Khalid University in Saudi Arabia, participated as an external examiner.
