University Student Receives Doctorate Degree in Business Administration

   

On Friday, May 3, 2024, the College of Economics and Business Administration at the University of Minnesota announced that student Adam Hussein Adam, from the Department of Business Administration, has been awarded a Doctorate degree in Business Administration. The announcement came after the public defense of his dissertation conducted by the Graduate Studies Dean's Office.

Adam Hussein Adam chose a significant topic for his thesis titled "The Impact of Work Pressures on Job Performance in Islamic Banks: An Applied Study on Africa Salam Bank in the Republic of Djibouti." The dissertation was supervised by Dr. Abdulrahman Ahmed Abdulghani, a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota.

The dissertation was evaluated by a scholarly committee, chaired by Dr. Mohammed Yunus Hamida, the Head of the Department of Business Administration at the Islamic University of Minnesota. The committee also included Dr. Sherien Ma'moun, the Dean of the College of Economics and Business Administration at the Islamic University of Minnesota, and Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Halawa, the Executive Director of the Quality Studies Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt, serving as an internal and external examiner respectively.
