Scientific Committee Approves Doctoral Plan on the Role of Religious Reform Movements in Political Change


 

Minnesota, May 11, 2024 - A scientific committee from the Department of Political Science at the Islamic University of Minnesota, led by Dr. Fayza Mohammed Khattab, has approved the research plan prepared by student Abdulmoein Mohammed Altalafah. The plan aims to conduct a comparative study on the role of religious reform movements in bringing about political change, using Martin Luther and Bediüzzaman Al-Nursi as models.

The approval of the mentioned plan came after a seminar session held by Deanship of the Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, the main center - College of Arts and Humanities, to discuss the plan on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 9:00 PM Mecca Time.

The examination committee, in addition to the committee chair Dr. Fayza Khattab, consists of the following members: Dr. Khaled Mohammed Ahmed Atiya, Dr. Bahaa El-Din Khalaf Allah, Dr. Essam Nazem Falah, and Dr. Tahani Mahmoud Saleh.
