Academic Committee Approves Research Plan on Women's Security Jihad
MINNESOTA, USA - An academic committee from the Department of Jurisprudence and its fundamentals at the Islamic University of Minnesota has approved the research plan submitted by researcher Ghada Abdulquddous Mustafa to study the security jihad of Muslim women, both in its regular and irregular forms, through a comparative Jurisprudential study.
The study, which will be submitted as part of the requirements for a Master's degree from the College of Sharia and Law, will be a comparative Jurisprudential study.
The Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, the main center, held a seminar session to discuss the aforementioned research plan on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 10:00 PM Mecca time.
The discussion committee consisted of the following members in addition to its chairman, Dr. Salah Faraj: Dr. Mubarak Saud, Dr. Mohammed Amin, and Dr. Abeer Ata Zahra.
The study is of great importance in light of the ongoing debate about the role of women in jihad. The study seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of the concept of security jihad from a Jurisprudential perspective, and to explore the different opinions of scholars on the participation of women in this type of jihad.
