Scientific Committee Approves Two Doctoral Dissertation Proposals
On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota held a seminar session to discuss the doctoral dissertation proposals submitted by researchers Mohammed Samir Abdulrahman Said and Shawqi Za'lani.
The discussion committee that approved the proposals was chaired by the Head of the Department of Jurisprudence and its Fundamentals, Dr. Salah Faraj. The committee also included Dr. Ammar Abdullah, Dr. Mustafa Ahmed Mohammed, and Dr. Jumu'ah Al-Ashram.
The titles of the approved proposals were: "Jurisprudential Rules Related to Facilitation and Removal of Hardship and their Applications in the Field of Artificial Intelligence" by researcher Muhammad Samir, and "Legitimate Alternatives to Futures Contracts - A Comparative Jurisprudential Study" by researcher Shawqi Za'lani.
The scientific committee approved the doctoral dissertation proposals for the two researchers after discussing and evaluating them during the session held at 10 PM Makkah time.
