Abduljalil Mahdi Receives Doctorate in Quranic Studies

Researcher Abduljalil Mahdi Abduljalil has earned his doctorate in Quranic Studies after successfully defending his thesis in a public discussion held on Wednesday, Muharram 11, 1446 AH, corresponding to July 17, 2024, at 8:30 PM Mecca time.

The discussion focused on his thesis titled "Guidance on the Four Additional Readings Beyond the Ten According to Abu Jaafar Al-Nahhas from Surah Al-Fatiha to Surah Al-A'raf," conducted under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Islamic University of Minnesota, within the Department of Quranic Studies.

The discussion committee consisted of Dr. Walid Idris Al-Munisi, President of the Islamic University of Minnesota, who served as the supervisor and rapporteur; Dr. Ziad Ahmad Al-Hajj, Head of the Recitations Department at the University of Jinan in Lebanon and a faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota, who served as an internal examiner; and Dr. Abdul Fattah Mohammed Khadr, Dean of the College of Quranic Studies at Al-Azhar University, who acted as an external examiner.
