Researcher Shawqi Thabet Awarded Doctorate in Accounting

In a public defense session, the dissertation committee chaired by Dr. Shireen Mamoun Saiyd Ahmed, Head of the Accounting Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota, decided to award the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting to researcher Shawqi Saeed Qasem Thabet.

The defense took place on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 9 PM Mecca time, in the Deanship of Graduate Studies at the University.

The dissertation committee consisted of Dr. Al-Sadiq Babakr, the thesis supervisor and faculty member at the university, Professor Dr. Al-Hadi Adam Mohammed Ibrahim, the external examiner and Director of the University of Nilein, and Dr. Mohammed Abdulrahman, the internal examiner and faculty member at the Islamic University of Minnesota.

Researcher Shawqi Saeed Qasem Thabit's dissertation, titled "The Application of Electronic Systems and its Impact on Internal Audit Performance - A Theoretical and Field Study on Hayel Saeed Anam Industrial Companies", addressed an important topic in the field of accounting.
