Control Unit: We Prepared Exams for 300 Courses in a Week and a Half

Dr. Hassna Fatani, the director of the Examinations and Control Affairs unit, stated in an interview with the site's news director on the occasion of the end of the second semester that her unit, within a week and a half, prepared exams for approximately 300 courses. The unit also monitored the examination process for 869 undergraduate students and nearly 356 graduate students.

Dr. Fatani emphasized that her unit supervised the exam administration through continuous and organized monitoring by Control Consultant, Professor Israa Abdelhamid. She expressed her gratitude to Professor Israa in recognition of her efforts.

Discussing the achievements of her unit, Dr. Fatani said, "We monitor faculty members in submitting exam models, form teams to prepare exams, distribute tasks to the teams according to departments, create exam schedules, and prepare exams through links for easy student access. We also collect and deliver exams to course professors, monitor grade entry on the portal, follow up on exam committees, coordinate with the Dean of Academic Affairs, address student complaints during exams, and respond to student inquiries 24/7, considering different time zones."

Addressing challenges faced by the unit, Dr. Fatani mentioned delays in exam submissions by some faculty members, lack of follow-up by certain faculty members on academic staff groups, insufficient information in some exam files, issues with grade distribution, and technical problems faced by some students during exams. She assured that they control and address these issues by monitoring each student with a problem and assisting them in resolving it before taking the exam.

The administrative structure of the Control Unit includes Control Consultant Dr. Israa Abdelhamid, Control Director Dr. Hassna Sama Fatani, Deputy Control Director Engineer Majd Al-Areiqi, and members of the Control team. The unit plays a crucial role in connecting various elements of the educational process, including students, faculty members, department heads, and academic content.
