New Academic Year Begins with Over 2,000 Students

On the 13th of July 2024, the Islamic University of Minnesota witnessed the start of the new 2024-2025 / 1446 AH academic year, with over 2,000 students from around the world joining virtual classrooms on the ZOOM platform.
Dr. Khadija Abdulwareth, the Dean of Admissions and Registration at the university, said that the number of new students so far has reached 273 students, distributed among the Bachelor's programs (188 students), Master's programs (58 students), and Doctoral programs (27 students).
The Dean of the Deanship explained that the college with the highest number of new students is the College of Computing and Information Technology, followed by the College of Islamic Studies, and then the College of Economics and Business Administration.
The Admissions and Registration Director affirmed that the registration door remains open until the 2nd of August 2024, calling on students wishing to join the university to take the initiative and register as soon as possible.
Students will begin their studies in eight academic colleges, each containing more than 35 academic departments that offer Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs, through distance learning using the global ZOOM application.
