Research and Studies Center Holds Scientific Lecture
Under the patronage of the Research and Studies Center at the Islamic University of Minnesota - Main Center, an academic lecture titled “The Road to Graduation Project” was held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, via Zoom. The session was presented by Dr. Salman Ali Zakaria, Assistant Professor at the College of Educational Sciences, with wide participation from university students.
During the lecture, Dr. Zakaria outlined the essential stages of preparing a graduation project – starting from topic selection and problem formulation, through developing the research plan, setting objectives and questions, and concluding with research methodology and academic documentation standards. He also highlighted common mistakes students often make and provided practical suggestions to help them avoid them.
The lecture witnessed significant interaction from attendees through questions and contributions, reflecting a genuine interest in research practices and academic requirements.
This lecture, along with similar scholarly activities organized by the Research and Studies Center, aims to enhance students’ research awareness, equip them with sound methodological tools for producing high-quality graduation projects, and contribute to developing a generation of researchers capable of scientific thinking, analytical skills, and adherence to academic ethics.
The center affirmed that such events come as part of a comprehensive plan to support the university’s research mission, assist students in their final academic stages, and elevate the quality of academic outcomes in alignment with the university’s vision and educational goals.
