Head of the Law Department Holds Meeting with Faculty Members
Doctor Moayad Zidan, Head of the Law Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota, held a meeting with the faculty members of the department on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Dr. Moayad opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and emphasizing the importance of adhering to class schedules, stating that makeup classes should only be requested in extreme cases. He then reviewed the procedures that faculty members must follow regarding the final exams for the first semester, stressing that the exam questions should be derived from the curriculum taught to the students and should be appropriate for their level and clearly stated. He also highlighted the importance of thoroughly reviewing the questions before submission and the necessity of being present during the exam period to address any inquiries or correct mistakes.
Afterward, the department head opened the floor for faculty members to present their suggestions. They discussed exam models and the curricula for the upcoming semester, calling for alignment with the subjects according to the current study plan. They also requested a review of the study plan to achieve greater alignment and effectiveness.
