Haifa Fatani Earns PhD in Jurisprudence and Its Principles

Researcher Haifa Sturbar Dorloh Fatani has earned her PhD from the Department of Jurisprudence and Its Principles after the public defense of her thesis titled "The Shafi'i Grants in the Vocabulary of Imam Ahmad's School: A Study and Verification from the Book of Ablution to the Book of Congregational Prayer."
The defense took place under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the main campus of the Islamic University of Minnesota on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 4 PM Mecca time.
The discussion committee was chaired by Dr. Salah Farraj, Head of the Department of Jurisprudence and Its Principles at the university, with Dr. Hamad Al-Mazrouei, Professor of Jurisprudence at Kuwait University, serving as supervisor and rapporteur. The committee also included Dr. Imad Qudari Al-Ayyadi, Head of the Manuscripts Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota, as an internal examiner, and Dr. Ahmed Ma'bad Issa, faculty member at the university, as an external examiner.
This thesis is considered a valuable addition to the Islamic library, highlighting the vocabulary of Imam Ahmad's school and providing a comprehensive study in the field.
