Scientific Committee Approves Research Plan on the Role of Judicial Ijtihad

A scientific committee from the Department of Judicial and Legal Policy, chaired by Dr. Alaa Hosni, Head of the Department, has approved the research plan presented by PhD student Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed. The study focuses on the role of judicial ijtihad in preserving rights during times of crises and emergencies, as part of his pursuit of a doctoral degree.

The approval came after a seminar session held by the committee on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 7 PM Mecca time. This session was supervised by the Deanship of Graduate Studies at the Islamic University of Minnesota, main campus, College of Sharia and Law.

The discussion committee included the chair, Dr. Alaa Hosni, along with Dr. Omar Mohammed Jabaji, Dr. Basel Al-Majali, and Dr. Asmaa Fakhri Suwaileh.
