Regular Meeting of Faculty Members in Law Department

Associate Professor Dr. Mohammed Shuaib Abdulmaqsoud, Head of the Law Department at the College of Sharia and Law at the Islamic University of Minnesota, chaired the regular meeting of faculty members in the department, which took place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 10 PM Mecca time.

The meeting addressed several topics outlined in the work plan, including remedial lectures, lecture quality, the final exam, and the distribution of first-semester courses among faculty members.

During the meeting, it was agreed to establish the last Thursday of each month as a fixed date for departmental meetings. Additionally, members were reminded to ensure the timely submission of final exams and to adhere to the instructions in the memorandum issued by the Control Affairs Unit, as well as to complete the grading of assignments (homework, research, cases) on the online portal.

The department head also reviewed the progress of the educational process during April 2025, encouraging faculty members to increase engagement with students by turning on cameras during lectures and discussing issues with them. They were urged to conduct remedial lectures on their scheduled dates.

The meeting, which lasted over an hour, included the distribution of study materials for the Law Department for the first semester of the upcoming academic year 2025/2026.
