Law Department Holds Exceptional Meeting to Discuss Academic Course Development

As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the educational process and elevate the quality of academic courses, the Law Department at the Islamic University of Minnesota, main campus, held an exceptional meeting chaired by Dr. Mohammed Shoaib Abdulmaqsoud at 10:00 PM Mecca time on Friday, May 16, 2025, to discuss the action plan for the approved university textbook for academic courses.
The meeting reviewed several key topics aimed at enhancing the quality of legal courses and achieving the highest standards of academic efficiency. A comprehensive review of the law department's curriculum across all educational stages, from bachelor's to master's and doctoral levels, was the top priority, ensuring its alignment with modern scientific and legislative developments. Additionally, a precise description of each academic course was prepared, including objectives, outcomes, assessment methods, and approved reference standards. The meeting also emphasized the commitment to quality standards and academic integrity during the preparation and editing of university textbooks, to keep up with academic developments and enhance students' trust in the educational content.
The meeting concluded after more than an hour of fruitful discussion, characterized by a spirit of understanding and cooperation among members, all of whom expressed their commitment to implementing the recommendations and developing the scientific content in line with the department's mission and future academic aspirations. The department chair expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all participants, valuing their efforts in supporting the department's academic journey, and reaffirmed the importance of continuing these coordinating meetings to ensure the achievement of set goals and to provide high-quality, innovative, and integrated legal education.
