Law Department Discusses Plans to Enhance Academic Quality

MINNESOTA, USA – July 25, 2025 – The Law Department at the College of Sharia and Law, Islamic University of Minnesota, held a significant periodical meeting on the evening of Thursday, July 24, 2025, to discuss ways to advance the educational process and boost academic performance. The meeting, conducted online, was chaired by the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Shuaib Abdulmaqsoud, with notable attendance from the department's faculty members.

The meeting, which lasted over an hour, focused on strategic pillars aimed at developing the quality of educational outcomes. Attendees discussed the necessity of expediting the preparation of the university coursebook to the highest academic standards, as well as the importance of finalizing midterm exams in alignment with the approved study plan.

  The members also emphasized the need to activate the electronic assignment system on the educational platform and to monitor students' timely submissions. To ensure educational discipline, a strict commitment to the primary lecture schedule was affirmed, with postponements to be minimized and any rescheduled lectures to be compensated for within the same week.

In an effort to enhance students' research capabilities, the department approved the organization of a specialized educational lecture on the fundamentals of scientific research, aimed at refining their skills and qualifying them for rigorous academic writing.
